]]> The range of Professional Triathlete’s backstories about how they got into the sport is quite incredible and the contrast between Amelia Watkinson’s start in the sport and Braden Currie’s could not be more different! Amelia’s first multi-sport event included a kayak leg (in which she fell out of her kayak) and was already a strong cyclist and runner having trained in those individual disciplines throughout high school. Braden Currie took very naturally to multi-sport racing in his late teens but it was only when he was 23 that he taught himself how to swim!
